PILOT Episode | Yoka Sessions - Prioritize Like a Pro – From To-Do to Done & Build a Winning Team

Updated: May 30, 2024

Wow! Its been a minute since I typed here. It reminded me of Emirates' tagline, "When was the last time you did something for the first time?"

Karthik Ananth, a friend and a brutally honest critic, and I have had too many conversations about corporate culture, the overuse of words like hustle and grind, and building and scaling Customer Experience teams across different geographies, yet we feel like we have literally just scratched the surface.

The other day, Karthik and I chatted with a peer from a Chennai-based SaaS company. We discussed ways to manage corporate culture and customer scenarios, and that's when the idea of Yoka Sessions was born.

After that, we grabbed a (filter) coffee each and a week later, here we are, one episode of the first Yoka Session. In our pilot episode, Prioritize Like a Pro—From To-Do to Done & Build a Winning Team, we delve into the art of prioritisation and its critical role in building high-performing teams.

Quote of the day: "If everything is a priority, nothing is a priority"

It is more than managing your to-do list—it's about making deliberate choices that align with your day-to-day activities with the overall objective.

  1. Set Clear Goals: Define what success looks like for you and your team. Clear goals provide a roadmap for making informed prioritisation decisions.

  2. Assess Impact and Effort: Evaluate tasks based on their potential impact and required effort. Focus on high-impact, low-effort tasks for quick wins.

  3. Use Tools: Utilize tools like task management software and prioritization frameworks to organize and track your tasks.

  4. Communicate Priorities: Ensure your team understands the priorities and their roles in achieving them. Regular check-ins and updates can help maintain alignment.

  5. Building a High-Performing Team: A winning team is built on trust, transparency, and a shared vision.

    - Understand the importance of delegating tasks according to team members' strengths.

    - Learn how to create a supportive and transparent team culture that values communication and empathy.

Join us on Yoka Sessions as we explore ourselves and our leaders and share a few thoughts along the way.

Don't forget to watch the full episode and subscribe to our channel. I had to say it:)
